Good Morning Everyone! Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend. I wish I could say that I spent the holiday weekend doing something fun, but I had to work and spent most of the next day in bed. It was very relaxing though, and sometimes that can be better than running around. Too say I Had To work feels negative; honestly, even though I had a somewhat rough day on Saturday, I really am blessed to work where I do! Not every job allows you to connect with people and relieve their pain, while talking about adventures, personal stories and emotional and meaningful experiences. I am truly blessed to be working at the VSpa. As soon as I walk into work my Manager smiles at me, asks how I’m doing and tells me that my promotion is coming up soon! Being in this positive environment is like night and day from the hell holes I used to work in. I really love the way the VSpa treats their Therapists. It’s so different than the way I was treated at the last Spa I worked at. Instead of focusing so much on pressure and deep tissue work, the VSpa is all about being who you are and offering guests an amazing Spa experience. It’s all about showing your gifts and making the client feel amazing! I am truly blessed to work with so many positive people on a daily basis and also at Bodymechanics Massage School, where I see small and big dreams come true every day!
One of my routines after work every Saturday is to sit in the Hot Tub and let all my muscles relax. Massage Therapy is a very strenuous profession, so the hot tub just melts all that tension away. I have full access to the health club and classes at my work, but since I run and exercise outside a lot, I usually just go there to use the pool and hot tub. I will most likely be taking yoga and pilate classes this winter once the weather gets bad. Stretching is so important, and I’m learning that more and more as the years go by.
What are your relaxation routines? How did you spend your Labor Day Weekend?
