It's often hard to figure out what inspires us, because we live in a world that rarely values inspiration--so instead of feeling inspired, we ignore the things that make us feel spiritually content and whole. The word Inspired means 'in-spirit;' when we find something that inspires us, it helps us live in a way that brings our spirit joy. If you can experience the joy of inspiration, you'll find that everything falls into place, just the way it should.
This simple meditation keeps your inspiration nearby, so at a moments notice, you can grab something to motivate your spirit when you're feeling down.
You will need: A jar with a lid, something that is unique and speaks to your personality. Acrylic paints, markers or any art supplies that you enjoy working with. A notepad and Pen.
Step One: Use the paints and art supplies to decorate the jar in a way that makes you happy. You can write words like "Inspiration," "Ideas," or "Motivation" on it, or just paint designs that inspire you, speak to your personality, and make you happy. When I was going through Massage school, I would write quotes of Inspiration on little tabs of paper, fold them up and place them inside a cup. The quotes were either something I heard in class or from a role model I had in my life, or someone else I looked up to. Step Two: When you've finished decorating your jar, hold it in your hands and say the words, "Inspiration come to me. Burn brightly in my spirit and soul. Inspiration wait for me, growing greater over time. Inspiration be ready for me, and my eager, joyful heart."
Step Three: Place the jar somewhere you'll see regularly, with the notepad and pen. When you have an inspiring idea, write it down on a slip of paper and add it to the jar.
Any time you are feeling a lack of motivation or inspiration, open the jar, pull out a piece of paper, and either immerse yourself in the idea or feel the words manifest in your heart as you speak them. If you are religious, you can use this idea with bible verses/quotes or ideas that you feel God draws you towards. If you are wanting to incorporate some changes in your life, you can fill the jar with small, actionable steps that will help lead you toward that change. The jar is yours to use in a way that will help you grow and reach your highest potential.
Step Four: As you write your ideas down, read them for inspiration or manifest them in your heart, as you sip on this Inspiring Cocktail!
