Happy Thanksgiving Weekend Everyone â¨ď¸
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed the day. This Thanksgiving was very casual and didn't feel much like Thanksgiving at all. The weather was so bright and sunny, with a little nip in the air. While I wasn't able to see all of my family on Thanksgiving, it was a special day spent with those I love. I started the day off running a Turkey Trot 4 mile race in downtown Olympia. It was an easy route, with beautiful weather and good friends! I spent the afternoon at my brother and sister-in-laws house and they prepared an Amazing feast! I was going to leave early and go on another run, but I figured I should learn to relax and let my hair down... I did run 9 miles the next morning and spent the afternoon at the movies, shopping and people watching.
Every year is different, as my family continues to grow and have their own families and things happening. I guess I have my own things happening to, so everything is right in the world đ I've learned throughout my life, and the seasons of time, that I focused too much on the wrong things and that I need to enjoy life and enjoy those I spend time with. I have learned to take in each moment and enjoy it for what it is. People say you shouldn't dwell on the past, but look to the future... but I say you should embrace the present. The past can be full of regret, the future full of worry and uncertainty, but the present can and should be fully embraced. In the past I always mourned the things or people I felt like I had lost, but now I appreciate the special people and things that enhance my life âĽď¸
What do you appreciate this Thanksgiving? What are you Grateful for? Share your stories, your gratitude and events of the day!
