Thanksgiving Cancelled?

I want to touch base with everyone and ask what your holiday plans are this year. With the new mandate in affect, I know a lot of our plans and hopes for the holiday may have changed. Have the new regulations changed the way you're celebrating this Thanksgiving? Are you carrying on as usual or going solo this year? Personally, I am hoping to spend time with family on Thanksgiving day. With everything that's happened this year, spending time with family is a perfect reminder of the blessings I have in my life and helps give me a sense of peace, love and hope for the future. With that being said, it's also the perfect time to reflect on the year and what we are Thankful for.

This year has been full of disappointment, heartache, loneliness, uncertainty, confusion, and countless other struggles that can give us a negative mindset and reasons to hate this year; but let's take a moment to focus on the blessings we have. The things we have rather than the things we don't have. Things we've taken for granted, things we've forgotten, things we don't even think about because its just assumed. It's all based on our perspective. For me, I'm thankful that I'm able to exercise everyday. I'm healthy and able to run, hike, ride a bike, etc... Instead of focusing on how I hate running in the rain, I try to focus on the blessing that I'm able to run at all. I'm thankful that I have a family that supports me, even when I make stupid decisions, and who live close enough that I'm able to visit on a regular basis. I'm thankful that I'm still able to support myself, even amidst this years economic struggles. I'm thankful that I was able to work from home for a little while this year and had time to get outside, spend time with friends and finish my book. I'm thankful that I have choices I can make about my future. Let's take a step back and celebrate the true meaning of Thanksgiving this year and reflect on what blessings we have in our life. How are you celebrating Thanksgiving this year? Share your blessings, your holiday plans and what's on your mind as the holidays approach. 💕🦃💕

I’m also thankful for my family. They’re the most important people in my life, but also long-time friends and especially my faith. I have to keep my faith in God’s plan and His love for us in front of me all the time and remember all the things He’s done for me and all the people I care about. He’s the only one in control.

I am not going to let the stupid virus ruin the holidays.. the governor can try to make people stay at home but he can’t enforce it.

It’s easy to get discouraged at times like these when it seems like the world is crumbling down around us but now is the time to think about all the things your thankful for such as family, friends and all the blessing that life brings. I am thankful for the love I share with family and friends and that in despite of this hard year I am able to work when so many have lost their jobs due to the virus.
