Take Time to Heal šŸ˜‡

Updated: May 26, 2022

Good morning everyone! Today I want to talk about the different ways we can take time for self care and self healing. Life can be demanding and with everything we juggle as humans, trying to make it through this journey of life unscathed can be a tricky business. As an athlete and active person, I have struggled with injuries my entire adult life, and especially over the past few years. One of the reasons I chose to pursue a career in massage is so I can help others who are struggling with similar injuries. Of course having a career as a Massage Therapist can also be a catalyst for stress on the body. Ive been starting out slow at the Spa while also integrating my own selfcare regimen to create a healthy balance. Last night was an especially gruelling night and caused a lot of stress on my body, so I took a hot bath using pure Magesium Flakes. Magnesium Flakes are similar to epson salt, except they are far more concentrated and transdermal, which means it is absorbed directly through the skin. It hydrates, detoxifies and promotes cell proliferation while relaxing the body. Magnesium flakes reduce Inflammation and muscle soreness at a higher level than epson salt and other products like icy hot and patches. Icy hot has been my best friend over the past couple years, but I've had to ween myself off of it because it does irritate the skin if used on a daily basis. I've tried finding Pure Magnesium Flakes at Riteaid, Walgreens and other stores but haven't had any luck... if you want to try it out you can find some at my new Ballaura Wellness Spa šŸ˜‡
