Summer Reading List

Updated: May 22, 2022

Happy Sunny Weekend Everyone! Hope everyone is staying cool today šŸ˜Ž I wanted to talk about what everyone is reading this Summer. It's the perfect day to go to the lake or sit by a pool and read a good book. My pool is closed, unfortunately, but if you happen to have a pool available or a nice secluded lake nearby, why not sit back with a good book and get your tan going. I have a couple books that I'm working on right now, and once my schedule at work is figured out I'm hoping to settle into some relaxing reading days. Right now I'm reading this book called Still Waters (the sequel to Blackbird) a novel by Jennifer Lauck. I'm loving the depth of character and authentic moments beautifully captured in the novel's stark and poignant portrayal of childhood through the eyes of a girl growing up in California. I'm also reading a book called Resisting Happiness, which is a self-improvement/motivational book that talks about ways we sabatoge our own happiness by trying to control things in our life. It talks about letting go and trusting in God and others, and asking for help rather than relying on ourselves all the time. I started reading Blackbird last year while traveling to Missouri and started the sequel Still Waters while in Arizona. What books are on your Summer reading list.... and yes you can include Audio books in that list šŸ¤“ Do you prefer fiction, non-fiction, biographies, self-improvement?

Next on my list is a book called Ok, for Now by Gary D. Schmidt. It's supposed to have a Catcher in the Rye type of feel to it and I can't wait to dig in! What's on your summer reading list? Do you have a favorite book that you always go back to? Comment below! If you need some book ideas don't forget to check out my books Dragon Country and Keep Your Enemies Closer. You can find them on Amazon by following the links below!
