This week has been really good. I can only describe it as having a smooth, chill vibe like a line of jazz music š¶ No exams this week which made things more relaxed in class, but we did have a lot of lectures about Ethics, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Kinesiology, and of course Clinic! Iām really focused these days on classes and my future and getting my assignments done on time, which gives me a sense of accomplishment. I also have a good group of people supporting me as I make this journey and that means everything to me š I also had time this week to plan a doTERRA party and do some massage practice, so life is good š I never believed it before, but I believe now that if you put positive energy into the Universe and the people that surround you, then the Universe will give it back to you. It might take a while, but it will come. Thatās how we can draw good things to us, by changing the way we think, believe and act. I have to say that itās a relief to know that we have autonomy over our own life and our own happiness. That things happen for us not to us. Most of us operate our lives through the lens of our thoughts and the belief system we adopted as children. In the early years of our life, we take in information through our five senses and our belief system stems from the information we gleaned from these pivotal moments in our lives. We automatically attach meaning to the thoughts that stem from these moments, and we form a belief system that we operate our life around. These thoughts that form our belief system turn on a loop in our minds every day, as we have an average of 90,000 thoughts per day and about 90% of these thoughts are the same as the oneās we had the day before. Unless we are challenged or hit rock bottom, we follow, often blindly, this stream of thinking throughout our life and in the decisions that we make. I am one of the biggest offenders of turning on autopilot and repeating the same mistakes without questioning why I keep making these mistakes and what I can do to avoid them in the future. I admit it, and as Iām not the type of person to be overly curious and question āwhyā something happens, I have been getting the same results year after year. Itās only in the past few years that Iāve come to the realization that Iām in charge of my life and happiness and that Iām not a victim of any system; but that I actually have control of where my life goes from this day forward. If we are in not getting the results that we want, we have to create a new way of thinking. Action starts with thought, and in order to get different results in our lives we have to create new thoughts and avoid following old thoughts and old ways of thinking that are not in line with our goals and the life we want for ourselves. We are all seeking the same thing: happiness. We all want to be happy, and we all have different modes of operating to achieve this happiness. If we arenāt happy, we need to take-a-look inside and see if our actions and thoughts are in line with creating that happiness. Thatās why it is often said that Happiness is a state of mind.
