Good Morning and happy Thanksgiving weekend everyone šš¦ This year was definitely different from past years and the thing I was really grateful for was sleeping in and watching comedy specials on Netflix. The thing I appreciate as I get older, and the world gets crazier, is that we can find gratitude in the simple things in life. That perspective, mindset, and the people we have in our lives has more to do with happiness than the possessions we have in this world. There are little moments through life that we look back on and remember with gratitude, not because of what we had, but who we were with and the experiences we had. We have the opportunity each day to create the day we want and the life we want. Our life is made up of a succession of days, where every day we have an opportunity to live with positivity, to live with love, to live with joy, purpose, excitement, determination, and peace rather than fear, worry, concern, and negativity. We can try to find something in every moment of every day to be grateful for; whether its something as small as the feeling of the wind on our face, the smell of a scented candle or the air in our lungs. These little things we so often forget about, are actually big things; they are gifts surrounding us every day. I'm thankful that I'm able to work at a job I enjoy, with people that are like family. I'm thankful for my journey through massage school with a group of wonderful, supportive men and women who are all reaching towards the same goal, as we seek out happiness in this life. I'm thankful for my family and friends, who I know will always be there for me and have my back. I'm thankful that, even though I don't have as much time these days, I'm still able to run and feel free ššāāļø
I have to say that even though I only had two days of classes this week, they were Amazing and I was so inspired by the conversations that came from my Instructor and classmates. We're learning so much every day about our bodies and minds and how to navigate injury, pain and trauma in different ways. I'm thankful that I'm able to write and share with all of you :) What are you thankful for this year? Do you find joy in the simple things... what things do you find joy in... Share your thoughts, feelings and gratitude in the comments below and have a peace-filled holiday š
