Happy Labor Day Weekend Everyone... This week was jam packed with upper body injury treatment! We went through the rotator cuff and surrounding shoulder muscles to help treat injury in that area. We performed posture analysis, Myofascial and soft tissue release, trigger point therapy, bicep opposition and plowing, and a fun technique called "little blessings," all with big cheeky grins and what our instructor calls "curious fingers." I have been so impressed with all of my instructors so far and for very different reasons. Each Instructor bring a different energy to their teaching style, while they each have the same passion and love for what they do. It's truly inspiring! This week the founder of Body Mechanics graced us with her presence and her fun and energetic teaching style! she brings humor, passion, inspiration, motivation and knowledge to the classroom and is ,what I would consider, the female version of Tony Robbins. Since we're such a big class we also had an Assistant help guide us through the techniques and check on our body mechanics. Turns out most of us have pretty awful body mechanics while giving a massage, which explains why our backs are all screaming 😲 This past week was the perfect way to end things before our two week break.
