Massage School Week 13

Happy Weekend Everyone! I slept in till 9am this morning... apparently my sleeping skills have been lacking these past few weeks šŸ˜“ I wanted to keep you posted on my progress in school. Can't believe its been 3 months already! This is my 110 blog post since I started my website last year and I'm pretty excited and proud of my commitment to this blog. Even though my blog hasn't reached the ends of the internet and isn't being promoted by influencers and health and wellness guru's, I still enjoy doing it each week as it helps me get my thoughts out of my head and brings me relief, satisfaction and joy in the process. If something helps you and impacts even one person then it's worth it šŸ’™ As some of you know, I am very transparent with you about the things I share in my blog and this week is no different. As many of you also know, I talk out my feelings a lot, not because I'm unaware or unobservant about what's going on in my life, but because it helps me organize my thoughts and make sense of them. That being said, I've reached a plateau these past couple weeks in

school and work for several reasons: fear has started to creep its way into my mind again, I took a break from therapy and just overall fatigue. I need to remind myself that I'm doing all the right things, that everything I'm doing is for the purpose of creating a better life for myself. One of those things is taking 30 minutes every morning to do Therapy and Journal. It helps set up an intention for each day and when I skip it I notice a negative change in my mood and overall mindset. It's those little things you can do every day to create positive habits and incremental change that will keep pushing you forward in times of doubt and fear. These little habits will be very important this coming week as I have an LMT evaluation on Friday where I will be doing an intake and full body massage on a licensed massage therapist and they will be judging my performance. I'm nervous simply because I haven't done a full body massage in about 6 weeks as most of school lately has been bookwork. But knowing that all of my classmates are in the same boat as me makes me feel better and also brings me comfort knowing I'm part of a team that is working towards a common goal and struggling with the same things. Aside from learning about muscles, cells and tissue... we have been working on injury treatment and stretching in our practical sessions, which has kept me going for the most part. How has your week been? Share your thoughts/comments below šŸ‘‡
