I wanted to check in with everyone and see how you're all coping as we near the end of this year. We've made it a habit of saying "I'm fine," I'm Ok," and "everything is good," because we don't want to feel like a burden to anyone. We've programmed ourselves into thinking we're not worth the trouble or we're not important, or because we feel guilty for taking time for ourselves when we know we really need it. Today I want to ask you how are you really feeling?
This virus has not only scared people, but it's turned neighbor against neighbor. I've personally been verbally assaulted by complete strangers, been judged and given dirty looks and I have family and friends who have as well. I just want to say that we need to have compassion for one anther, check in with the people we care about and refrain from judging people that we know nothing about. Some people get physically sick from wearing a mask because they might have a health issue, or maybe a mask makes them feel like they're going to pass out... whatever the reason, before you scream at them and accuse them of killing people by spreading the virus, maybe you should take a look at yourself and act with a little more humanity. Everyone is suffering, everyone is going through something, it's not up to you to judge them for something you know nothing about.
Have a little compassion and check in with your neighbor 💖
It's ok to not be ok, it's ok to ask for help. We're all human... we all make mistakes, we all have things we're dealing with, we all need help sometimes.
How have you helped out your neighbor, your family, your friends?
