Enjoy the Path You're on šŸ’ž

Updated: Mar 27, 2022

Today I had a bit of an Epiphany... I was taking some time to get out and enjoy nature when I came upon a fork in the road. I continued going straight when about one hundred yards into the path I looked over and wished I was on the other path, because it was closer to the water and looked more appealing. So I turned around and went back to the fork so I could take the other path. I was immediately hit by a burst of wind that almost knocked me on my ass. It was then that I thought to myself that the first road I had been on wasn't half bad after all.. Sometimes in life the thing next to us seems better and more appealing; the grass seems greener on the other side. If we could only be that other person, with that other life... that new car, that job with benefits, that big house, that perfect body... you name it! We all have some area in our life where we fall short; some part of us we wish we could change. We spend most of our lives wishing for things and wanting things we don't have; being envious of others. But the truth is, we don't know what that person with the seemingly "perfect" life is going through. There life is no better or worse than ours. Everyone goes through things; everyone struggles, no matter how perfect or better their life may seem. The path we're on now is what's important, and should be enjoyed and celebrated, because its another day we get to be alive, another day we get to connect with others and make changes for the better. Do you take the time to enjoy the path you're on and the moment you're in? Share your thoughts šŸ’—

Iā€˜ve spent way too much time focusing on what I donā€™t have in life, and looking far into the future, when I should be enjoying the miracle of the ā€˜nowā€™. Thanks for the perspective sis.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it :) Hindsight is 20/20... Sometimes I feel like we only see the beauty of things after they've passed. It's part of the human experience and how we learn and grow šŸ’—
