Do you suffer from SAD

Good morning everyone 🥹 I havent been as consistent with my blog these days, but I miss writing and sharing my thoughts with the few of you that read this. I wanted to talk today about getting through the funk if winter. I don't know if any of you are feeling this right now, but I'm feeling the SAD...

I have mny things to be grateful for, as I've been blessed in my life and even when I struggle I always make it through to the other side. I've found it hard the past few weeks to be motivated to do much outside of my obligations, and I usually can get rid of this feeling with a nice run, but haven't been motivated to run either. I've been staying busy and active though... practicing Yoga, walking a lot, and giving many massages... hoping this funk will pass soon. I'm still doing the same things I've always done and keeping very busy, but just feel a looming sadness in a way. Seasonal Affective Disorder(SAD) is something that many people dealing with during the long winter months, but we rarely talk about it because I think we feel shame and a sense of weakness, because it seems to be a first world problem. Even though it may seem a small and unnecessary complaint, it's still important to talk about our feelings with those we are close to and trust, because chances are, they are feeling the same way.

I decided to schedule a massage for myself this afternoon because I needed to do something for myself to boost my mood, while also helping with pain.

Do you suffer from SAD? What kinds of things do you turn to that help with seasonal depression, or that help you get out of a foggy funk? Share your thoughts and story ✨️
