Good morning everyone! Today I want to discuss the influence of God in our lives and invite you to share a supernatural or miraculous event that you've personally experienced. With everything that's going on in the world, it's hard to see the hand of God at play. Sometimes it feels like there's no rhyme or reason to anything... Why do bad things happen to good people? Why would God allow an innocent child to die from a terminal disease while evil roam the streets? What is God trying to show us through all of these random, and sometimes, extremely evil acts? They say that without suffering there'd be no compassion... but it's hard to see the fairness of it all when the cards are finally dealt. I wish I had an answer, and I wish the reason behind things was clearer. It's in these times that we look to the strong and the faithful to give us courage and hope. When I visited Rome some years back I saw many things that would be considered miraculous. I saw the perfectly preserved bodies of saints, heard a lot of stories about how God chose to preserve just the tongue of St. Anthony, and the hand of St. Francis Xavier, which is on display in the church of Gesu in Rome, Italy. I thought that visiting Rome and seeing the relics and incorrupt bodies of saints would deepen my faith, but it only made me more skeptical. I hope to someday witness a miracle, and though I've had times in my life where I've felt close to God, I have yet to witness a miracle with my own eyes. Have you experienced God in your life, or witnessed a miracle? Please share your story!

I believe in miracles and have had witnessed a few that I will never deny. God's timing is perfect and it's key for us to trust in him and lean not to thine own understanding. I thought of sharing a monumental story in my life that changed my relationship with God forever and the main reason I will never deny him. Maybe I can write and share my testimony with others!
what a wonderful Blog topic! Thank you!
Very good points! Our relationship with God shouldn't be determined by conditions. God gives love freely to us and we respond when we're ready to accept with free loving hearts. I think the biggest issue I had with believing in some of the things I saw in Rome was for every relic or piece of art there was a beggar or money making scheme right next to it. So the presence of God was clouded by man's greed in a way...
I think in some ways you’ve made a profound point.... seeing, is not believing. You’ve seen the incorrupt bodies of Saints and yet you’re not convinced. I’ve seen my own son drown and then saved miraculously by the power of God, and yet I struggle at times with my faith too. But this also tells us why God doesn’t perform miracles every time we ask.... because it wouldn’t really increase our faith. Our priest said recently “you can’t tell God what to prescribe, so that you’ll subscribe to Him.” In other words, we can’t tell God “if you do this miracle for me, I’ll believe in You.” Faith is a gift that is something beyond seeing miracles. After all, many…
