The first thing an abuser does to its victim is to cut them off from family and friends. We are being asked to stay home for the holidays and refrain from visiting loved ones in a time where people are struggling more than ever. We need each other right now, but the government is coming between us and our loved ones, posing as our savior and the one entity who has our best interests at heart. The government is forcing a toxic relationship on us, cutting us off from our lifeboat and instilling a sense of fear into our lives. So I ask you... is the government using fear of the virus as an excuse to separate us from the people in our lives who will give us the most love and support?
